Walt Jorgenson joined the ranks of the sun lovers in 1978 when he chose the Western Slope of Colorado as his home and opened Palisade Pharmacy.  For over 32 years he has played an intricate part in the health and well being  of the community of Palisade, Colorado.  Palisade Pharmacy continues to employ approx 15 full time employees.  Along with being a pillar in the community, Walt is very passionate about renewable energy and shows that with his newest endeavor.  With the ever rising energy costs Palisade Pharmacy celebrates their energy independence with the addition of a state of the art Photovoltaic system. Palisade Pharmacy and Syndicated Solar teamed up to make the pharmacy's business that much stronger. With the integration of a 13 kW solar array, the pharmacy has permanently offset nearly 50% of their electricity costs, equaling $2,400 savings per year (first year), they have also taken advantage of Xcel Energy's solar Rewards program and is contracted to receive an additional $970 per year in monthly payments, for the next 20 years. On top of all the savings and earnings, this solar system had 71% of the total cost recaptured in the first 90 days with the Xcel energy Solar Rebate and Federal 1603 Grant.
